My highest priority is helping my clients feel heard, respected, and cared for.  I know my clients have worked hard all their lives, and now they want to feel certain that all of their ducks are in a row.  I help my clients take a step-by-step approach to their planning, which can be especially helpful for anyone who may be feeling intimidated  or overwhelmed by the estate planning process.  I offer patience and a  friendly atmosphere, taking the time to explain everything clearly, and allowing my clients to move at their own pace.  I also specialize in assisting clients who are experiencing memory challenges or declining health and am happy to provide home visits for those who are unable to visit our office.  Finally, my clients can count on me to be there in the future, either to help them make changes to their estate planning or to help their loved ones carry out their final wishes through probate.

I was born and raised right here in the Portland area, and my family has lived in Oregon for three generations.  I spent several years away from Oregon while obtaining my law degree at Penn State and then practicing in Southern California for five years.  Although I enjoyed the experience of seeing new places, Oregon was always my home.

Public service and giving back to my community have always been important to me.  During law school, I worked as a certified legal intern for Penn State’s Disability Law Clinic.  I also volunteered for Wills for Heroes, preparing estate planning documents for first responders, and for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, preparing tax returns free of charge for vulnerable members of the community.  Upon graduation, I was awarded Penn State’s Public Service Graduate Fellowship for my demonstrated commitment to public service.  I continue to volunteer today with the Senior Law Projects in Multnomah and Clackamas Counties.

Outside of work, I enjoy getting to the coast as often as possible, reading with my book club, and spending time with the people (and animals) I love.
