My practice at Fitzwater Law concentrates on special needs planning, estate planning, probate, Medicaid, and adult guardianship and conservatorship matters.  I have always enjoyed working with individuals and families to help loved ones.
 

I feel at home here in the Northwest but I am originally from the Midwest.  Prior to joining Fitzwater Law, I worked with clients in northwest Indiana to achieve their goals in probate, guardianship, and Medicaid matters.  I earned my undergraduate degree (biology) and MBA from Valparaiso University in northwest Indiana and my J.D. from the Valparaiso University School of Law.
 

I try to live life with a positive outlook. I do not believe there is any reason to look at adversity as anything but an opportunity to better oneself.  I enjoy educating our community about elder law issues and am a frequent speaker to senior groups, medical and social workers, financial professionals and community groups. I inform groups on topics including long-term care and Medicaid planning, guardianships and conservatorships and special needs planning.
 

When I am not in the office, if the weather is favorable, you will find me spending time outdoors with my spouse and dog, Bear.  On rainy days you will find me indoors with a game or searching the Gold Room at Powell’s Books for a new adventure.
